Located in the Tangle Town area of Rocky River, only a short 10 minute drive to downtown Cleveland, we are very walkable community to nearby grocery stores, restaurants, parks, beaches and the Old River shopping area.

Our beloved Oakwood Beach is eroding quickly. We need your help!

Evolving weather patterns and consistent wave erosion continues to erode the Shoreline, Pier, and Landing. Without your help we will be forced to shut down Oakwood Beach due to safety concerns. The Board of Beachcliff #1 is engaged with Engineered Technical Solutions, Shoreline Contractors and H&M Landscaping to restore Oakwood Beach beginning Spring 2024.

Engineered technical solutions

ETS is a well established waterfront and erosion control engineering firm bringing over 80-years of experience working within northeast Ohio. ETS is formally engaged to design, develop, and assess overall costs in the restoration of Oakwood Beach. Formal permits are being finalized with ODNR, US Army Corps of Engineers, the Ohio EPA, and Fish & WIldlife.

Shoreline contractors

Shoreline Contractors are experts in marine construction bringing over 45-years of coastal experience. We are working to formally engage with Shoreline upon completion of all required permitting. Completion of work will depend on weather conditions; but is estimated to take between 3-6 months. Our goal is to complete work during 2024.

h&m landscaping

Consistently ranked as one of the best landscaping firms in northeast Ohio, H&M has been formally engaged to provide project renderings, implement a new landscaping plan, and properly maintain. Initial site work was completed in fall 2023 with a goal of completing new landscaping including expanding our paver walkway by fall 2024.
